I do my Mum's nails all the time and it's always the animal print that gets the most attention.
It's easier than it looks and super quick too.
For this post I bought a £2 nail art set from Primark. The Colours are perfect and I love the cute box too!
The pens come with two options. The first is a very fine tip:
This is what I use for nail art. The second is a brush, similar to a nail varnish brush. I don't recommend using this setting for nail art, it's too chunky. However you may want to use one of the colours as a nail varnish and this gives you the option:
You can use any base you like. I usually have a shellac base. I could never, ever go back to any other kind of varnish. CND shellac rules the world. I have shellac in cake pop on as a base. A nice gold tone would work well too. I just want to point out I have my uv gloves on in the photo, from having my hand in the lamp!
First off, use the pink pen to paint some dots on your nails. It's important to make them different sizes and don't paint them in a structured way - think random.
You don't have to wait for it to dry, just be careful not to majorly rub the spots.
Next, brake out the black. What you want to do is draw three squiggly small lines around the pink spots and leave gaps between the lines. If it's a really wee spot one of the lines can be a spot.
Once you have drawn around all the spots you can fill in any gaps with little squiggly lines.
There you have it!! I hope you try it out-let me know how you get on, I'd love to see your finished product.
