Our Trunki Review

I have always wanted to get Hannah a Trunki. Now that she is big enough (recommended age is 3+) I decided the time was right to get one.

I think they are super cute and the ride on element seems to be a great option to entertain Hannah in the airport.

We decided to go for the pink one, there were other options such as Moshi Monsters and the Gruffallo but I thought she could go off those characters but pink is a favourite for life!

As you can see, as soon as we got home Hannah was wheeling up and down the living room!

My big concern was-how much stuff does this carry? I threw together the amount of clothes we would probably pack for a week away:

7 nappies - Hannah is out of nappies but she still wears one in bed
2 pairs of shoes
10 pairs of pants (just in case)
4 pairs of socks
4 vests
10 tshirts/tops
2 cardigans
2 pairs of trousers
A pair of shorts
2 skirts
2 dresses
A towel
A swimming costume
And a cuddly toy!

Would it all fit?

Yes! Would it close?!

Yes!! I was very impressed.

The case is closed with a clip at either side, with the option to lock them.

The key is on the end of the detachable shoulder strap.

The strap also has a tag for child's name, emergency contact no and language spoken which is great for travelling abroad.

I also love the interior, it has elasticated straps to keep everything secure. They are very stretchy, which is great for squeezing everything in! There is also a long detachable pocket which is handy for toiletries, hair clips etc....

Another plus is that is the approved size for hand luggage (check with you specific airline just in case). I have checked and people even take them in as hand luggage on Ryanair flights.

So, to summarise:

Pros.

Looks super cool!
Fits in more that you'd expect.
It's fun- hours of wheeling fun at the airport.

Cons.

The only one I can really think of is the cost. They are approx £40 / €49.

The Trunki definitely  has our seal of approval!

  1. Trunki's are fabulous, I have yet to meet a child (or parent) who doesn't love them! Thanks for linking up with #TriedTested

  2. I've seen Trunkis before in airport shops but I've never really had a close look. What a fab video review - they look like so much fun and easy for parents to carry once the kids don't want to ride it any more. Thanks for linking up with #KidsCorner! :)
